4th of July at The Lake of Egypt.
(Complete with
swimming, foods, fireworks, and dogs).

Mom, Kirsten, Haley and Caleb lounge by the lake.

The Works!

Dad, Haley, Kirstin, Mike, and Caleb enjoy killing fish by throwing firecrackers into the water. Intriguing at first, then quite sad.

The Fam. (minus Becky, who was still in Germany).

Caleb enjoys some fireworks. Luther cowers nearby.

A post-swim Divot.

Divot enjoys "fishing" off the side of the dock. This includes staring at the fish and then furiously pawing at them in the water. It's awesomely cute to watch!

A pre-swim Luther.

Luther loved swimming. He mostly splashed around and tried to eat the 'splashes.' Needless to say, it was entertaining to all.

Then of course, he dried off. Which was like a full-body Jowler!

We had a great 4th. Sorry to post so late. It's a lot of work. And lately, I'm lazy.

Luther looks so worried in his cowering picture!

luther was VERY nervous in that picture! he was pretty scared of the fireworks. he was always crouching behind caleb and he was whimpering.
(luther was, not caleb!)

It's bittersweet. This is the first Sipe Fourth that we've missed in a couple years.

divot thats an interesting name. is it said "divo" or "divot" regardless looks like you guys had fun. we are still waiting to set off our stockpile of WORKS. considering we live in a county that frowns upon that kind of activity.

nathan,
you pronounce the t. he is named after this:

DIVOT -noun, [div-uht].
